That APU fuel line job that turned into a whole weekend ordeal

I had a 737 come in with a APU fuel line leak, figured it'd be a simple swap maybe 2 hours top. Ended up spending close to 15 hours on it because the last guy had cross threaded the fitting and then used red Loctite on it. Had to cut the line out with a hacksaw and then spend 4 hours re-tapping the fuel manifold. Has anyone else run into someone else's RTV or Loctite nightmare that turned a quick job into a disaster?

Man that's brutal, sorry you had to deal with someone else's mess like that.

Julia, pretty sure they posted that themselves to get sympathy, not a real mess.
