Switched from paper logs to a digital tracker for inspections
Used to scribble everything on those carbon copy triplicates for years, but switched to a tablet app about 8 months ago after losing a whole binder of records in a rainstorm. The search function alone saves me like 20 minutes a day when I'm hunting for a specific AOG part number. Anyone else made the jump or still rocking paper?

Wait, isn't AOG just a status though, not really a part number thing? But yeah, the search is a game changer, I probably spend less time digging through files now than I did just flipping pages to find the right sheet.

Right, but you know what I mean - when a plane's AOG you're hunting down whatever part will get it back in the air lol. But yeah going digital was the best thing I did. I used to carry around those little flip notebooks and would always end up with coffee stains or grease marks on the critical pages. Now I just snap a photo of the part tag and type in the serial number, boom its searchable forever. Plus no more trying to decode my own handwriting from 3 AM service calls, which was getting embarrassing honestly.

Hang on, just a small thing - AOG stands for "aircraft on ground", not a part number. It just means the plane can't fly because it needs a part. You probably already knew that, but just in case.
