Spent 3 hours on a fuel line leak that was just a loose clamp
I was chasing an APU fuel leak on a 737 for the whole morning, swapping seals and checking lines. Turned out the V-band clamp on a return line was barely finger tight. Now I check the simple stuff first before I start pulling parts. Anyone else waste a shift on something this dumb?

Had a car that wouldn't start, swapped the whole ignition module, turned out the key was worn down.

Buddy of mine spent half a day chasing a no-start on a forklift, replaced the fuel pump and filter, and it was just a dirty ground cable. He still brings it up whenever someone misses something simple.
