Snapped a fuel line clamp on a 737 yesterday

Was doing a routine engine inspection and the clamp just cracked in my hand. Must have been corrosion underneath the insulation. Took me an extra hour to get the right replacement from stores. Anyone else have hidden corrosion bite them out of nowhere?

Did you check the neighboring clamps too?

Wait, are you saying the clamps were actually loose on the others too? I mean, I figured maybe one was just a little off but not the whole row. @julia92, that would explain why the whole assembly was vibrating like crazy when I fired it up. I bet a couple of the bolts were barely finger-tight, which would cause that noise for sure.
