Hit 500 aircraft inspections last month, didn't even realize it till I checked my logbook

I was flipping through my logbook trying to find a write-up from June when I noticed the inspection count at the top. 500 inspections in about 3 years, mostly on Cessna 172s and Pipers. That number just snuck up on me, never thought I'd hit that many without messing something up big time. Has anyone else hit a random milestone like that and just felt... weird about it?

Kinda like when you realize you've been driving the same route for years without ever noticing the potholes or the way the light hits at 5pm. It's wild how your brain just autopilots through stuff until a number or pattern snaps you back.

And suddenly I'm realizing my brain has been running on autopilot since 2012, which explains why I've spent three years thinking that pothole was actually a shadow. I swear I could drive my same route blindfolded at this point, but ask me what color the house on the corner is and I'd probably guess wrong. Pretty sure my awareness level for daily life is hovering somewhere around "slightly less engaged than a goldfish." At least now I'll spend the next week overthinking every turn and noticing all the cracks in the pavement I've been blissfully ignoring.
