Unpopular opinion: frozen fries beat fresh cut in the air fryer
Tried both methods for a game night in Denver last month. Fresh cut ones came out soggy no matter what I did. Frozen crinkle cuts were crispy in 12 minutes flat. Anyone else ditch the fresh prep for frozen?

so u said "frozen fries beat fresh cut in the air fryer" and honestly my friend jenna had the same exact thing happen to her. she tried making fresh cut sweet potato fries for a super bowl party and they came out so limp and sad she almost cried. then she tossed in some frozen waffle fries from the bag and they came out golden and perfect in like 10 minutes. everyone at the party actually asked her what brand she used for the frozen ones and totally ignored the fresh batch she slaved over. she told me later she felt kinda dumb for wasting time cutting potatoes when the frozen ones were way better. i think some things just work better in the air fryer without all the extra work.

omg "limp and sad" is exactly the right way to put it. fresh cut fries have this whole hype about being better for you but they just don't crisp up right no matter how much you soak or dry them. it's like how homemade pizza dough never gets that same floppy yet crispy crust that a decent takeout place does cause their ovens are just built different. some things in life are just better when you let someone else do the hard part and call it a win. your friend jenna learned a valuable lesson about delegating the fries to the experts haha.
