Shoutout to my neighbor for pointing out my soggy air fryer fries

I was always putting a full basket of frozen fries in, and they'd steam instead of crisp. She saw me do it and said, 'Girl, you gotta leave space for the air to move.' I've been doing it wrong for a year. Do you crowd the basket or spread things out in a single layer?

My first six months with an air fryer were just me making sad, soft broccoli. I was convinced it was a bad machine until I watched a video where they used like five florets at a time. Turns out I was basically just steaming veggies in a very expensive box. Now I do tiny batches and it actually works.

Yeah I was the same way. Thought it was just a bad oven. Doing small batches changed everything for me.
