Serious question, why does everyone keep cooking frozen fries at 400 degrees for 20 minutes? That's how you get hockey pucks.

Ugh, I'm guilty of this. My oven must think I'm trying to make charcoal, not dinner.

Tell me exactly what you're trying to cook. I burn everything that needs a timer, like cookies or frozen pizza. The second I walk away, it's over.

My old apartment had the loudest oven timer in the world. I used to ignore it thinking I could just watch the food, but that always failed. Now I set it and actually listen, because that beep is the only thing between me and burnt pizza.
