Serious question, did anyone else figure out reheating fries in the air fryer was the whole point?
I got a big bag of fries from the diner on 5th St on Tuesday and the leftovers sat in my fridge for 2 days getting sad and soggy. On a whim I threw them in the air fryer at 380 for about 4 minutes and shook the basket halfway, and they came out crispier than when they were fresh. My wife watched me do it and now she wants me to order extra fries on purpose just to test this out. What temp and time are you all using for leftover fries, and does it work the same for onion rings?
Man, I used to toss leftover fries without a second thought because reheating them always made them limp and greasy. Then my brother showed me the air fryer trick and I have not looked back since, they honestly come out better than the first time. I have not tried onion rings yet, but I would guess they work the same if you go a little lighter on the time so the breading does not burn.
