PSA: those silicone basket liners are not worth the hype

I bought a set of two liners for my air fryer last month, thinking they would make cleanup easier. In my experience, they just trap steam and make the food soggy instead of crispy. I wasted about $15 on them and ended up throwing out a batch of fries because they were so limp. Has anyone found a better trick for keeping the basket clean without ruining the texture?

My air fryer fries come out fine with the liners, honestly.

Check the actual wattage of your air fryer model. Lower power ones can't push enough hot air through the silicone to cook properly. My old unit had the same soggy issue but my new one doesn't.
