My sister roasted my air fryer wings and now I actually brine them

She came over for game night last Saturday and said my chicken wings were "sad and dry like eating a flip-flop." I was so mad at first, but then I looked up a recipe and tried brining them for 3 hours in salt water and a splash of hot sauce. It made them so juicy and the skin got way crispier at 380 degrees for 22 minutes. I even started adding a little baking powder to the dry rub after seeing it on a food blog. Has anyone else tried a simple brine for wings or is it just me who waited this long?

Actually brining is even better if you do it overnight...

@gavinhunt, what's your go-to brine ratio for a whole chicken? I tried 1 cup salt to 1 gallon water last time, came out too salty. Do you add sugar too, or just stick with salt and herbs?
