I read that air fryers can use up to 75% less oil than a deep fryer, which I found in a food science article from my local library's website.

Is the library website a hidden gem for cooking science? It's nice to find real info like that instead of just random blog posts.

My local library's website is where I get all my hot cooking tips too. Next they'll have an article on the best way to reheat pizza, which is obviously the microwave for maximum sogginess.

Honestly, that 75% figure sounds about right from my own messing around. I found the real trick is to give whatever you're cooking a really light spray with oil, not a pour, and shake the basket halfway through. It makes frozen fries come out way crispier.
