Cooked frozen chicken wings for 20 minutes at 400 degrees and they came out rubbery
Turns out I was supposed to thaw them first and pat them dry, which I only learned after my sister saw my sad, soggy wings and laughed for a solid minute, so has anyone else made this mistake with chicken in their air fryer?

Oh I definitely did this exact thing. My first batch of chicken wings were like eating rubber bands. A friend told me to thaw them completely, pat them bone dry with paper towels, then toss them in a little baking powder and salt before putting them in the airfryer. That trick changed everything for me, they come out super crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Also make sure you don't overcrowd the basket, I learned that the hard way too when I tried to cook too many at once.

My first air fryer wings legit welded themselves to the basket, I swear I had to chisel them off with a butter knife. @margaretk89 that baking powder tip is gold though, I've been using it for months now and it's night and day difference. The paper towel thing is key too, I used to skip it thinking it wouldn't matter but soggy wings are the worst. Overcrowding is my ongoing battle because I'm always trying to feed like five people at once and patience is not my strong suit.
