Can we talk about the sudden air fryer takeover at my local gym's cafe?

I mean, maybe it's just me, but I went to grab a smoothie after my workout and the whole place smelled like crispy kale. Turns out they swapped out their old oven for an air fryer and now everything on the menu is air fried, even the banana chips. Last Tuesday, I saw a guy trying to air fry a hard boiled egg, which idk about that, but it popped and scared everyone in line. The staff said they're trying to be healthier, but my protein bar got a weird smoky taste from all the zucchini floating around. It's kind of funny because now people are just hanging out watching things spin in the basket instead of leaving. Has this healthy push hit your usual spots too?

People get way too worked up about kitchen gadgets. It's just a trend, and the gym is hopping on it to seem fresh. That egg thing was stupid, but is it really worth all this chat? They'll move on to the next thing in a month.

Yeah, the hard boiled egg thing is a total science fail. You boil an egg to cook it with water, so trying to air fry it just turns all that moisture inside to steam until it pops like a tiny balloon. It's not healthier, it's just physics being loud. Honestly, my gym just started selling air-fried chickpeas and the entire lobby has the vibe of a really sad carnival snack stand.

Gasped at your gym selling air-fried chickpeas in the lobby. That is a special kind of depressing. Like, you're already paying to suffer on a treadmill and now they're peddling sad, dusty beans right where you walk in. It completes the whole "joy is forbidden here" atmosphere. Who even buys those, the same people who try to air fry eggs?
