Am I the only one who spent forever trying to get wings crispy without burning them?

I kept reading everyone say to just toss wings in the air fryer at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. But every time I tried it, they came out either dry as a bone or burnt on the edges. It took me roughly 6 separate attempts over two weeks to figure out that I need to lower the temp to 375 and flip them halfway at 12 minutes. Has anyone else had to tweak the standard advice way more than they expected?

See I kinda had the opposite problem. I tried all that careful temp stuff and flipping and my wings came out fine but not nearly as good as the first time I just threw them in at 400 and let them ride. Maybe my air fryer runs cold or something but crispy edges are kinda the point for me.

Bought into the low and slow hype for years but your post makes me want to try the 400 blast and see if I've been overthinking it.
