Air fryer chicken wings came out like rubber last night

I tried making frozen wings in my Cosori at 400 for 25 minutes and they came out all chewy and gross. I think the issue was I didnt pat them dry first or maybe my basket was too full? I had about 2 pounds in there and I bet that was the problem. Anyone else run into this and find a fix that works for you?

Totally feel your pain on this one, I've had some rough batches myself. Overloading the basket is almost always the culprit for me because the steam gets trapped and turns the skin to rubber instead of getting crispy. Next time try doing half that amount in a single layer with a bit of space between each wing and see if that helps.

Freezing them first is actually the bigger issue here than the patting dry or the amount. Cosori baskets have that honeycomb bottom that traps moisture underneath, and frozen wings release a ton of water as they thaw during cooking. That steam has nowhere to go but up into the skin. Try hitting them at 380 for 20-22 minutes instead of 400, then finish at 400 for 3-4 minutes to crisp. The lower temp first lets the internal moisture cook off without toughening the outside before it gets a chance to dry out.
