Update: tested an AI transcription tool at work for three days straight

I used it to caption all my client calls in a noisy coffee shop on Tuesday and it got every word right except for 'schematic' which it wrote as 'ski matic', has anyone else found a voice-to-text tool that handles technical jargon without messing up?

Otter does the same thing with my field terms, drives me nuts.

Oh man, I feel your pain. That "ski matic" thing is exactly why I stopped using generic tools for my calls. What worked for me was making a custom glossary in Otter and uploading a doc with all my common terms before the call. It still messes up sometimes but way less often. Another trick is to speak a tiny bit slower on the jargon words, almost like you're spelling it out, and that cuts down the errors. It's not perfect but it's way better than getting "ski matic" every single time.

Yeah @hayes.tara that ski matic thing would bug me too, just needs someone to train it on our vocab.
