My old way of cleaning up meeting notes took me an hour every time

I started using a free AI tool called Otter to transcribe and summarize my team calls back in March. Now I get a clean summary in about five minutes, and I can actually focus on the conversation. Anyone else find a small AI helper that saved them a bunch of time?

Yeah, Otter's a game changer. I started using it for client calls and it catches all the little details I'd miss while trying to write things down. The best part is just being able to search the transcript later when someone asks about a specific point from three weeks ago.

I actually had kind of the opposite experience with Otter. I tried it for a few team meetings and found the transcription was full of weird errors, especially with industry terms or people with accents. The search thing is nice in theory, but I spent more time scrolling through messy text trying to find what I needed than I would have just looking at my own notes. Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather have a rough summary I wrote myself than trust a computer to get everything right.
