Just realized my friend's new AI art tool is basically a copyright time bomb
He showed me his 'completely original' comic made with a model trained on 5000 manga pages, and now I'm stuck between 'it's just a smart brush' and 'that's straight up theft'. Has anyone else hit this wall with generative tools?

Stolen pages" is a strong way to put it. It's more like a really advanced collage tool that learned from public work.
