Just changed my mind about AI art after seeing it at a local gallery

I went to the Blue Door Gallery down on Main Street last weekend and saw a series of paintings labeled "generated by neural networks." They looked like weird, distorted faces but after staring at one for five minutes I realized it perfectly captured how anxiety feels. Has anyone else had an artwork shift their view on what AI can actually do?

That whole thing about anxiety really hit me too because I had a similar moment with an AI piece at a gallery in Portland. It was this huge canvas of swirling colors that at first looked like a mess but after a few minutes I saw it was a city street and it just clicked how chaotic and beautiful the world can be. Made me realize AI art can do a lot more than I gave it credit for.

Heard a podcast where some neuroscientist said AI stumbles into the same visual patterns our brains use for anxiety, which explains why that face hit so hard. Makes me wonder if these systems are accidentally tapping into something real.
