I used to spend hours cleaning up audio for my podcast, now an AI tool does it in minutes
For my local history podcast, I recorded an interview in a noisy coffee shop last year. It took me like 4 hours in Audacity to manually cut out all the background chatter and hum. Last month, I tried a tool called Descript's Studio Sound feature. You just drag the file in, hit a button, and it strips out everything but the voices. The first time I used it, I got a clean file in about 90 seconds. Has anyone else tried different AI audio cleaners and found one that's better for really rough recordings?

Man, that old Audacity grind was the absolute worst.

I just used Reaper for all my podcast editing after that. The free trial never ends.

Honestly, I set up custom keyboard shortcuts in Reaper and it cut my edit time in half.
