I asked an AI to write a song about my cat and it gave me a heavy metal ballad
I used a new text-to-music generator called MelodyForge last week, just for a laugh. I typed in 'a song about a sleepy gray cat named Gus who likes chicken.' The thing produced a three-minute track with screaming guitar solos and lyrics about 'claws of fury' and 'chicken-fueled rage.' It was completely unhinged. Has anyone else gotten a totally wrong genre from an AI music tool?

My buddy asked for elevator music about his cactus and got death metal growls about spines. Did the AI just decide all plants are angry?

Saw a tech writer point out that these models often grab the most extreme examples from their training data. So for a cactus, it's pulling from heavy metal lyrics about pain and thorns, not smooth jazz playlists. It's basically doing a weird word association game with no feel for tone.

My last attempt was asking for a lullaby about a goldfish. Got back what sounded like a dubstep track for a fish tank rave. The bass drop was just bubbles popping. Maybe these things just really want to be rock stars.
