Hot take: I picked a local AI startup over a big cloud provider for my model training.

My team in Austin had to choose between using a major cloud platform or a new local service called Vertex Core for a 3-month image generation project. We went with the startup and their custom hardware cut our training time by 40% compared to our old cloud estimates. Has anyone else tried a smaller AI infra provider and been surprised?
