Got burned on a $300 AI copywriting tool that couldnt write a simple product description
I signed up for Jasper AI last month thinking it would save me hours writing product descriptions for my Etsy shop. But after spending $300 on the yearly plan, I found it kept spitting out stuff that sounded like a robot trying to be a poet. I ended up rewriting everything manually anyway. Has anyone else found a cheaper AI tool that actually nails simple, plain language for online stores?

Same thing happened with me @troy_sanchez8, total waste of money.

The thing about those fancy AI tools is they're trained on all this creative marketing copy and blog posts so they try to be clever when you just need "this shirt is blue and costs twenty bucks". I tried a few different ones after getting burned the same way and found that the simpler the tool the better it works for basic product stuff. Like those ones that just autofill from a bunch of templates or let you pick the vibe upfront. The problem is these companies keep adding features nobody asked for instead of making the core writing better. You might have better luck with something that just focuses on product listings instead of trying to write your whole marketing strategy. Honestly its crazy how much you gotta hunt for something that just writes plain English without all the extra fluff.
