Changed my mind about AI image generators after comparing Midjourney vs Stable Diffusion side by side
I spent 6 months thinking Midjourney was the only way to get good results. Then a friend made me run the same prompt through Stable Diffusion with a decent model and I honestly couldn't tell the difference on most outputs. The kicker was when I needed to make 50 product mockups for a client and Stable Diffusion did it locally in about 20 minutes with no queue times. Midjourney gave me nicer textures on abstract art but for actual work stuff the free option won hands down. Has anyone else switched tools after seeing real world speed differences?

Guess you found out AI doesn't need a subscription to be useful.

The free stuff has limits though... like Claude's free tier gives you what, 10 messages every few hours? I hit that wall fast when I'm trying to actually get work done. ChatGPT's free version is way slower and cuts you off mid-conversation too. So while you don't need a subscription to test the waters, you definitely feel the difference once you start using it regularly. It's like getting a free sample at the grocery store - nice to try but not enough to feed your family.
