I read that a 26 minute nap beats a 90 minute one for feeling sharp, and I can't decide if that's real
Saw this in a sleep article from the Cleveland Clinic last week. They said keeping it under 30 minutes keeps you out of deep sleep, so you skip the groggy crash that comes with a full cycle. I tried a 26 minute nap on my lunch break Tuesday and woke up fine, but a 90 minute one on Sunday left me useless until dinner. So which side are you on, short and quick or full cycle and risky?
The 26 minute thing mostly just keeps you out of deep sleep, so it's less about the exact number and more about not hitting that stage. But 90 minutes isn't always risky, it depends on how tired you are going in.
