That one comment about my Rugrats obsession still stings
My older brother once told me I was 'too old' to be watching Rugrats when I was 13, so I stopped watching it for years. I just started rewatching episodes last month and realized how much smart writing and humor I missed out on because of one dumb comment. Has anyone else let someone's opinion kill a show for you back then?

Totally agree, my dad said the same thing about Pokémon at 12 and I missed so many good episodes.

I mean that's a bummer, but Pokémon actually aired at like 3:30pm on weekdays, not 8am. Unless your dad had a weird schedule. I remember having to race home from school to catch the Johto episodes, and if I missed it I was just out of luck because nobody had DVRs back then. Maybe your dad just wanted you to watch something else? Idk.
