Just found out how many episodes of 'Are You Afraid of the Dark?' were actually made

I was looking up something about the show on a fan site yesterday and saw the total count. They made 91 episodes over the whole run from 1990 to 2000. For some reason I thought there were way fewer, maybe like 50. It makes sense because I remember it being on for a long time, but the number still surprised me. Did anyone else think there were less, or was it just me?

Totally thought there were way less too! I would have guessed maybe 60 episodes max. But then I started remembering all those different story arcs, like the one with the evil comic book villain coming to life and the haunted swimming pool episode. It really was on forever when you think about all those seasons.

Right? The episode count sneaks up on you. I had the same moment looking at my old DVD sets. Breaking it down by seasons made it click, because you forget they pumped out like twenty episodes a year for a while. It's all those weird one-off monster plots that add up.
