Just found out Doug Funnie's last name was actually on the show this whole time

I was rewatching the old episodes on YouTube last night and noticed 'Funnie' is literally on his mail in the intro. I always just called him Doug for 30 years without thinking about it. Did anyone else miss that detail as a kid?

Blame it on the old low res TV sets we had back in the 90s. I never caught that detail until I was in my 20s and watched a clip online that zoomed right in on his mail. The way the mail slot covers part of the last name makes it easy to miss, and the show always just called him Doug. It is a pretty small detail that a lot of people probably didn't notice unless they were looking for it. I would suggest pausing the intro next time you watch it and you will see it clear as day. It is one of those things that makes you feel like a detective when you finally spot it.

Oh man, that exact thing happened to me with another show actually. I grew up watching The Simpsons and never noticed the little details until I got a laptop and could pause stuff. It's wild how much you miss on a tiny fuzzy screen. For Doug, I had to watch the intro like 3 times on YouTube before I saw it too. That mail slot really does hide the last name perfectly, it's like they designed it that way on purpose. Glad you finally spotted it though, feels good to catch those hidden Easter eggs.
